Imo-girl's
Koko wa Greenwood
(Here is Greenwood)
Information Page
Welcome to Greenwood, the most unusual dormitory in Tokyo!

Greenwood, or Ryokurin Ryou, is an all-boys dorm at the prestigious private
high school, Ryokuto Academy. It is also home to some of the weirdest (and
most entertaining) young men in anime or manga!

Koko wa Greenwood is an 11 tankoubon (volume) shoujo manga written by
the talented Nasu Yukie and published in "Hana to Yume" comics (Flowers
and Dreams). Six anime OAVs have been subsequently produced. They have
been translated by Software Sculptors and are available on VHS tape in either
subbed or dubbed format.

What makes Koko wa Greenwood so awesome, you ask? Well, like my other
favorite series, Kodomo no Omocha and Marmalade Boy, it's twisted and
bizarre, yet wholesome and heartwarming! (Kinda like okra. What a weird
vegetable! But I digress. . .) It's also hysterically funny.

The purpose of this page is to spread information about this wonderful
comedy/romance series. You will notice a dearth of color images on this
page. Many people have worked hard to acquire screencaps for your
enjoyment -- and I'm not one of them! (I have recently become acquainted
with my scanner, though, so expect a few manga images in the next few
months.) You'll also notice that the design is a trifle. . . monotonous. Sad, but
true. All I can say is: I allotted more time for content. Gomen, ne?

About. . .: Not really about me.
Burning Questions: Not just the FAQs.
Nasu Yukie's Other Works: N-sensei's other manga as I see 'em.
Wanted: Related stuff I really want.
Old News: Past updates from '00 and '01.
Doujinshi Scans: Warning: Boys kissing boys ahead! (O.O)
Update 10/23/02: Two new authors on the "More Fiction" page (you can get
there via the links page). Mike Toth has written a (possibly YAOI) choose-
your-own-adventure in which I had the misfortune to incinerate Shun. o_O;;
Issei no Miko has written two fics that I won't spoil by describing. One is
YAOI and the other isn't, so there's something for everyone. Happy reading!

In other news, I've put up scans of the VHS covers on the OAVs page.
I'm trying to get used to my new webpage software, so things could be a bit
hairy for a while. Sorry! >_<

Update 10/16/02: Put up a translation of part three of "Oujisama wo Sagase!"
on the manga page. Hey, I finished something! ^_^;;

Update 8/4/02: Put up a translation of part two of the Devilwood story on the
manga page. A *very* short blurb on Nasu-sensei's manga "Arashi ga Hara ~
Lex Talionis" is up on the Other Works page.

Update 7/27/02: Added a few things to the "About. . ." section and put up a
translation of part one of the first Devilwood story on the manga page.

Update 6/12/02: Put up blurbs for two of Nasu-sensei's more recent manga
on the "Nasu Yukie's Other Works" page. Bottom line: I liked Yoake Mae,
Boku-ra wa. . .
better than Akatsuki ni Naku Kaze ni Naku KORAARU. Your
mileage may vary. A translation of part 2 of "Oujisama wo Sagase!" is up on
the manga page. No new djs in Kyoto, but I did get my hands on 4
Greenwood CDs. Seki Toshihiko! *swoon*

Update 5/8/02: Put up a translation of part two of "Here is Devilwood, the
Continuation" on the manga page and made some corrections to part one. I'll
be in Kyoto until the end of May.

Update 4/15/02: Put up a translation of "Here is Devilwood, the
Continuation" on the manga page. Thanks to Kojiki-chan for encouraging me
to do it! I hope it lives up to your expectations. >_<;;;

Update 4/14/02: Put up bunkoban cover scans. You can get there from the
manga page.

Update 4/10/02: Added a translation of "Oujisama wo Sagase! part 1" to the
manga page. I found out that Nasu Yukie has written another manga that I
*think* is titled "Arashi ga Hara." I don't know what it's about, but I'd love to
hear from you if you've read it! I'm expecting to get another Kuji Kotone
doujinshi and a Greenwood drama CD in the next few weeks. In other news,
my email has been acting wonky, so if you emailed me and didn't get a reply,
please try sending again. I'm not ignoring you! Happy belated birthday to
Mitsuru (March2X) and Sho!

Update 3/9/02: Added scans to "Hasukawa-ke no Ichizoku 2."

Update 3/6/02: A translation of "Dangerous Stove League" is up on the
manga page. A few tiny changes to some of the lyrics.

Update 2/3/02: Added scans to "Hasukawa-ke no Ichozoku 1." Kazuya is so
cute when he's mad! ^_^

Update 2/3/02: Added pictures to "Replicant Valentine." Updated the links to
[boy's dorm] and dorm212. Happy belated birthday to Hasukawa (Jan. 1X)!

Update 1/9/02: Suki da ze! is over. Thank you to everyone who entered,
especially Karma, samuraiheart and Onigame, who wrote fics especially for
the contest! *Wai!* Thanks also go to our patient and talented judges: Anna,
Cutter, Dawn, Kei and Yen, without whose hard work we never could have
held the darn thing. I'm sorry for taking up your holidays! Finally, thanks are
due to Kiri, who worked extra hard, HTMLed her heart out and was the voice
of reason and stability. m (_ _) m Doumo arigatou gozaimashita!
Congratulations to torch, whose fic, "The Best Policy," won Best Overall (as
well as Best Lemon)! All of the entries can be found at Greenleaves at the
link above.

Happy belated birthday to Nasu-sensei (Jan. 4th)!

What's up around here? I moved last year's updates to the Old News page,
linked Zaree, added my Suki da ze! comedy entry to the fic page, and added
a translation of "Ai wa Katsu 2" to the manga page.

Upcoming projects: more manga translations. I've given up trying to guess
which one I'm going to do next, but current contenders include the Igarashi
saga and "Otanoshimi wa Kore Kara Da!" *shrug*
