Remember that I'm not fluent in Japanese, so there may be some errors.
Also, I am summarizing to the best of my understanding what is going on,
so I am making *no* effort to avoid spoilers. Some summaries will be
more in-depth than others, depending on how much time I've spent trying
to translate that particular episode.

Episode 1: Nippon no Natsu ga Kiteru (Japan's Summer Comes)
It's almost time for summer vacation. The weather is hot and humid. The
boys in the dorm lie around listlessly. Everyone wonders why Fujikake
and Watanabe always have their door shut. Fujikake's from Kumamoto, so
he should be used to the heat, but isn't Watanabe from Hokkaidou? Hmm.
Mitsuru's hanging out in 211 with his shirt off. Some fangirls take a
picture of him through the window. Shinobu claims the weather doesn't
bother him because he has control over his own body temperature, but he
seems to be spending a lot of time in the bathroom. . . Furusawa-sempai
goes out on his motorcycle and brings back beer -- unfortunately it's warm,
and Furusawa smells horrible from sweating in his motorcycle leathers.
Hasukawa searches for a quiet place to study. Mitsuru breaks up a fight.
Hasukawa accuses Shinobu of having diarrhea. *sweatdrop*

Episode 2: Puurusaido no Kare (Poolside Boyfriend)
Sumire-chan sends Hasukawa four tickets to the public pool. Shun,
Mitsuru and Shinobu invite themselves along. At the pool, we see Marui,
the handsome 18-year-old lifeguard. Marui takes himself and his job very
seriously. He likes to yell things like "You there! Don't run by the pool!
It's dangerous!" through his megaphone.

Shun is dragged off to the women's changing room by one of the pool
attendants while Mitsuru and Shinobu smile and make no attempt to rescue
him. Shinobu puts Hasukawa into a headlock to prevent him from helping
Shun.
Hasukawa: Is it really all right for him to go into the girls' side like that?
Mitsuru: What? You want to go too?
Mitsuru: [Pushing Hasukawa] It's fine! Since it's you, go right ahead!
Knock yourself out!
Hasukawa: [Panicking] You're wrong!
[They then hear Shun running the length of the women's side and he bursts
into the exit of the men's changing room.]
Mitsuru: [Grinning] Welcome back. See anything?
[Shun grabs the front of Mitsuru's shirt and blows his bloody nose on it.]
Mitsuru: Wha-?! Why you. . .
Shinobu: [Smiling and pointing at Shun] He's a real man, isn't he?
[Mitsuru makes Shun wash the shirt and wear it until it dries.]

Mitsuru shoves Hasukawa into the pool, at which point Marui yells at him.
Mitsuru and Marui glare at each other. Marui fumes to himself about
wiseass kids and resolves not to rescue Mitsuru if he drowns. Marui then
sees Shun sitting by the side of the pool and develops an instant crush on
him, thinking that Shun is a girl.

The pool is too crowded for swimming. Mitsuru remarks: "If we wanted
to swim we could have done that at the school's pool." Hasukawa asks
why he came then, when they're interrupted by some cute girls in bathing
suits. "That's what you came to see?" Hasukawa asks. The three boys go
into the wave pool.

Marui is thinking to himself how dangerous it is for a cute girl like Shun to
be by herself at the pool. A boy hits on Shun.
Boy: Hey, hey -- you here by yourself?
Boy: Where do you go to school?
Shun: Ryoukuto academy.
Shun: (What's with this guy?)
Boy: [Laughing] You're kidding! That's a boys' school!
Shun: ?
[Shun motions the boy to come closer.]
Boy: Hm? What?
Shun: [Holding the neckline of the shirt out so the boy can look down it]
Take a look.
Boy: [Surprised]
Boy: [Wandering off] I just saw something boring. . .

Hasukawa tries jumping off the 5 meter platform.

Shinobu reminds Mitsuru to go get Shun. Shun has fallen asleep in the sun.
Mitsuru pats the shirt over Shun's chest, trying to determine if it's dry.
Marui, seeing this, thinks that Mitsuru is molesting Shun and leaps down
from his tower, intending to beat Mitsuru up. He notices a small boy
drowning. Marui hesitates, imagining Mitsuru unbuttoning the shirt to
reveal Shun's bikini-clad breasts. >_< Meanwhile the child goes under.
Marui jumps into the pool to save the boy.

After the boy is returned safely to his mother, Marui starts looking for
Shun. The pool attendees applaud him for his heroism. Marui sees Shun
and Mitsuru standing together and remembers that they came to the pool
together. Shun comes out of the changing room without Mitsuru's shirt and
with his hair in odango. It's now obvious he's a rather odd-looking boy.
Shun: [Running up to Hasukawa] Suka-chan!
Hasukawa: [Blushing] Don't come near me!
Shun: Why not?
Marui: [Stares bug-eyed]

Episode 3: Tadashii Kyoudai Ai (Proper Sibling Love)
It's summer break. Shun leaves for home. Mitsuru gets a phone call.
Mitsuru: [Expressionless] Hello. . . Yeah. . . I'm fine. . . Yeah. . . I
understand. . . Uh huh. See you.
Hasukawa: Eh? You're going home?
Mitsuru: [Putting on his shoes] Yeah. I'm staying over today and
tomorrow, then I'll be back.
Hasukawa: (Yay! Lucky!)
Boy: Did something happen, sempai? Did you have a fight with Shinobu-
sempai?
[In the boy's imagination, a middle-aged Mitsuru wearing an apron is
yelling at a middle-aged Shinobu, who is reading the paper and ignoring
him.]
Nasu Yukie: Old, aren't they?
Middle-aged Mitsuru: Let me go back to my *real* family!
Middle-aged Shinobu: [Puffing on a cigarette] Do whatever you want.
[Mitsuru punches the boy into the stratosphere while Shinobu smiles.]
Mitsuru FX: BOOM!
Shinobu: [Handing Hasukawa the dorm head manual] Look.
Mitsuru: While I'm gone, I'm leaving things up to Hasukawa and Shinobu
so it's their responsibility.
Hasukawa: We're the replacement dorm heads? Me and Shinobu-sempai?
Hasukawa: (I don't wanna!)
Shinobu: Right now you're thinking "I don't wanna!" aren't you?
Hasukawa: [Shaking his head] No, I'm not!
[Mitsuru leaves. Hasukawa wonders why he had to go home.]
Shinobu: They've got two funerals and a 13th year memorial service all
on the same day, or something like that.
[Hasukawa is shocked. How terrible!]
Shinobu informs Hasukawa that contrary to what Mitsuru said publicly,
*this* time Hasukawa is going to be dorm head all by himself. Mitsuru
said so. It's part of Hasukawa's training because Mitsuru is going to
nominate him to be the next dorm head. Hasukawa is stunned.

A crying little girl arrives at the dorm.
The Dorm Lady tells Hasukawa that she's spending the night at home.
Hasukawa makes sure everyone has done their chores and takes roll. One
of the boys is out with his girlfriend and his roommate tries to intimidate
Hasukawa into marking the absent boy "Present," but Shinobu intervenes
on Hasukawa's behalf.

Hasukawa finds the little girl in an empty room. She claims to be a
runaway. While the boys are debating what to do, Hasukawa gets a frantic
phone call from Shun. It seems the "girl" is Shun's younger brother, Reina!

Shinobu makes Hasukawa babysit Reina. Reina is an ungrateful and
spoiled guest, but Hasukawa has little patience with him. "You don't like
the breakfast I brought you? Then don't eat." Reina bites. Hasukawa
whacks him. Still, Hasukawa does nice things like escort the frightened
Reina to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Reina tells Hasukawa
that he ran away because "Mother and Father don't need me any more! I'm
just a bother!"

Shun shows up. His mother has just given birth to a girl: Yui-chan. "She's
totally cute!" Shun says, happily. Shun and Reina explain that the hotels
and restaurants their mother owns are traditionally inherited by the girls of
the family. Reina is upset because Shun has worked so hard on behalf of
the family, but now that a female heir has been born, all of Shun's efforts
will be forgotten.

Aha! The boys in the dorm speculate that Shun is the way he is because he
was raised as a girl. Not really, Shun replies. He just has long hair
because it's pretty. Everyone facefaults.

Reina sobs that Shun wanted to get into a good school like Ryokuto
because he was originally going to become the company president. And
furthermore, Shun studied hard, even though he hated it, but Reina declares
that *he's* not going to work so hard for Yui's sake. Shun tries to
persuade Reina to stop being so selfish and tries to get him to agree to go
home, but Reina looks like he's about to have a tantrum. Hasukawa kicks
him. Shun tries to protect Reina.

Hasukawa yells at Shun for being too soft on Reina. Doesn't he know that
an older brother's purpose is to bully his younger brother?! Shun protests
that he wants to protect his little brother and sister. Hasukawa tells Shun
that if he just protects them all the time, they'll become weaklings! He
remembers how his brother used to tease him when he was little. Shinobu
tells Reina Hasukawa's story: "Hasukawa's parents died when he was
younger than you. His older brother had to take the place of his parents.
And when that older brother got married, Hasukawa had to leave home,
because he was in love with his sister-in-law." Reina is filled with
sympathy for Hasukawa. Shun resolves to be a better older brother and
takes Reina home.

Mitsuru returns. Hasukawa asks who in the Ikeda family passed away.
Mitsuru calls Hasukawa a dope and says he had to help with the funerals
and memorial service because his parents run a *temple*. Hasukawa can't
believe that his horrible sempai is going to become a monk!
Episode 4: Wakai Chikara (Young Power)
It's September, which means it's time for the all-school physical education
festival. The boys are divided into teams based on their group. Mitsuru
and Hasukawa are both in C-group, so they're on the same team, much to
Hasukawa's horror. Shinobu is in in A-group, and Shun is in E-group.
Shun is going to run the 100 meter dash and also be the "Cheer girl" for E-
group. (Points are also awarded to the team that has the best cross-
dressing cheerleader.) Fujukake begs his team captain not to make
Yoshiki participate since Yoshiki is so timid and lacks stamina -- and
furthermore, he's absolutely hopeless at cross-dressing! Yoshiki tells
Fujikake that it's all right -- he really wants to participate for the sake of
the team.

Inter-group rivalries spring up as the physical education festival
approaches. One boy accuses the cafeteria lady of giving members of F-
group more food. Mitsuru stops some boys who are scheming to
undermine someone in A-group.

During practice, Urada of C-group keeps fumbling the baton hand-off in
the relay race because he's afraid of Mitsuru. They went to the same
middle school and everyone there was afraid of Mitsuru because he was
rumored to be in a gang. Hasukawa considers this information.

Shinobu is running the betting pool. A teacher comes in and asks if A-
group will win. Shinobu assures him that it will (it is, after all, Shinobu's
team), so he bets on A-group. Kazuhiro comes in and bets on C-group.
Shinobu tells Kazuhiro that the odds of C-group winning aren't good and
asks him why he's betting on them. Kazuhiro says it's because of
"Mitsuru's dumb luck" and because Kazuya is on that team. Preparations
for the festival continue.

The day of the festival arrives. Montage of events: Mitsuru high-jumping,
Yoshiki, Shun and Yoshitake dressed as "cheer girls", Hasukawa winning
a race, Furusawa's 46 meter shotput attempt, a tire-pulling event. C-gumi
is in third place with 64 points, following E-gumi (85 points) and A-gumi
(76 points). Mitsuru gives his team a inspirational speech.

During lunch break, Urada isn't feeling well. He comes in second in a
race and drops out of the competition, claiming to have a sprain.
(Kazuhiro goes along enthusiastically. "Yes, this is *definitely* a sprain!
It's terrible! It hurts, doesn't it?") Mitsuru makes Hasukawa take Urada's
place in the relay. Before the race, Mitsuru puts his hand on Hasukawa's
shoulder. "I'm counting on you," he says.

Hasukawa will run the third leg of the race and Mitsuru is the anchor.
After the first leg C-gumi is in 5th place, but the first runner fumbles the
baton and drops it. C-gumi is now in last place and A-gumi is holding
onto the lead. In the teachers' tent, the others are giving Kazuhiro a hard
time for betting on C-group, but he just smiles serenely. "From here on it
becomes interesting," he says. Hasukawa is handed the baton.

During the course of his 400 meters Hasukawa overtakes everyone except
Nagase of A-group, who is in the lead. Mitsuru thinks to himself "He's
doing too much, the idiot." Hasukawa beats Nagase to the hand-off, but
collapses from exhaustion and has to be dragged off the track. Mitsuru
wins the relay, and C-gumi earns 30 points, thus winning the competition.
Amid the rejoicing, Mitsuru walks over to where Hasukawa is lying to see
if he's all right. One of the announcers interviews Kazuhiro.

Alone in a classroom, Shinobu ponders: "So that's what he meant by
'because Kazuya's on the team.'" The teacher who bet on A-gumi comes in
to confront Shinobu, who puts on a tanuki mask and plays innocent.

Mitsuru yells at Hasukawa for hiding his talent, but names him MVP.
Lucky Hasukawa, this means he gets to kiss the "cheer girl" (Yoshitake).
Hasukawa resists. "Leggo, you morons!" Sumire-chan runs up to
congratulate Hasukawa. "Yakkun!! I saw it all! I took a video! You're the
best! You're so cool! I'm so glad I became your sister! I love you!" She
embraces him. Hasukawa faints.
Episode 5: BOOI MIITSU BOOI (Boy Meets Boy)
I've translated this, so I'm not going to do a summary other than: Fujikake
and Yoshiki move into Greenwood. Fujikake falls in love with Yoshiki
and vice versa. (Translation)
