Warning: Not everything on every page is translated. Also, some . . . creative . . . translating has occurred.

This is another translation that sort of gained critical mass over time, so I apologize for not doing part one
first. Warukatta! >_<;;

The story thus far: Rumors are going around Ryokuto Academy. It seems the same boy has been seen in the
infirmary after school, day after day, talking with the infimary doctor. Mitsuru overheard the strange boy
asking Kazuhiro about Sumire-chan. Is this boy Kazuhiro's secret lover? As if this weren't enough stress on
Hasukawa, someone has also been playing cruel tricks on him. In the course of a week, Hasukawa's been hit
by a bookend during PE, pushed down the stairs, and hit on the head with a fire iron that flew out of
nowhere. Shinobu, who witnessed the last attack, claims the culprit is wearing a Ryokuto uniform but isn't a
student at Ryokuto at all. Mitsuru recognizes him to be the boy that's been meeting with Kazuhiro. The gang
of four dash to the infirmary and witness the boy declaring his love for Kazuhiro, who seems quite happy to
play along. Unable to take any more, Hasukawa rushes into the infirmary and starts berating Kazuhiro for his
thoughtless disregard for Sumire-chan's feelings. Unexpectedly, the new boy joins in, telling Kazuhiro to
"Drop dead, you loser!" It seems he was just testing the rumors about the "gay infirmary doctor," and he's
really a rival for Sumire-chan's affections!

Sign: Infirmary

Mystery boy: That reminds me. I haven't introduced myself.

Mystery boy: I'm Kanda Toshiyuki. We've never met before, but surely you've heard of me?

Kazuhiro: Kanda. . . ?

Kanda: Sumire must have told you all about "Cousin Kanda-kun," right?

Inset of Sumire: Yes. [heart symbol]

Kanda: <That's right.>

Kazuhiro: But, if I remember correctly, Kanda-kun had already graduated from high school and enrolled in an
American University. . .

Mitsuru: Eh?! College?

Shun: Then, you're at least eighteen?!

Mitsuru: Do you usually go around impersonating high school students? How embarrassing.

Kanda: SHUT UP!!

Kanda: Under the sky of a far-off land, I worried about Su-chan. I took a leave of absence from college and
returned to Japan. <I came back to Japan.>

Hasukawa: [Incensed] ("Su-chan?!")

Hasukawa becoming incensed FX: Ka-chin!

Mitsuru: [Looking at Hasukawa] What is he, a back-up singer?

Kanda: I returned. . .

Kanda: . . . in order to take her back from the Hasukawa brothers by force!!

[Kanda waxes rhapsodic.]

Kanda: Su-chan was beautiful. . . sensitive. . . <innocent> . . . <and very loving!>

Kanda: From the time we were children, we were as close as siblings.

[Arrow pointing to Kanda's word bubble: He's mistaken.]

Kanda: When Su-chan was eight years old, we made a promise for the future.

Kanda: From then on, I always protected Su-chan.

Kanda: Even though I took pains to ensure that an evil low-life wouldn't attach himself to Su-chan, as she
was raised in an all-girls' school --

Kanda: Without listening to my advice, she enrolled in a co-ed university. Because I took my eyes off her for
just a little while, she was utterly ensnared by this villain's evil ways. . . !!

Kanda: <OH MY GOD!!>

Kazuhiro: [Smiling] Did you really come close to the truth, I wonder?

Kanda: Eh?

Mitsuru: Not.

Shun: It stinks.

Kanda: [To Kazuhiro] What did you say, you bastard?!

Kazuhiro: [Thoughtfully] If it were true (that I'm gay), this really _would_ be a great job.

Hasukawa: [Grabbing Kazuhiro by the lapels] What are you saying?

It was all an act?!

Kazuhiro: [Fondly] Oh, you. . . [sweatdrop]

Kanda: [Triumphantly] Look! Your own little brother doesn't believe

you, does he? Stop trying to weasel out of it with bad lies!

Kazuhiro: My little brother doesn't especially trust me, huh. You

really are a very skilled actor, but, unfortunately for you, in this job

I've come to know students' faces pretty well.

Mitsuru: [To Kanda] Anyway, you're wrong.

Shinobu[?]: If anyone has ever seen Sumire-san unhappy, I'd like to

meet him.

Shun: That's right!

Mitsuru: I mean, we can see where the babe might have some complaints about her old man, but. . .

Shun: . . . she looks like the very model of happiness.

Mitsuru: You haven't seen her recently, have you?

Kanda: <SHUT UP!!>

Mitsuru: [Smiling] Got him.

Shun: [Smiling] What's "sanobabicchi"? What's "gaddemu"? [Sonuvabitch and goddamn. ^_^;;]

Kanda: Anyway, you have the home ground advantage here. I'll come back later.

Kanda: And when I do, I'll surely settle this for good! Even if you're not gay!

Kanda: I'm taking Su-chan back! Don't forget!

[Kanda storms out. Hasukawa and Kazuhiro stare after him.]

Door closing FX: PISHA

Hasukawa: (Wha�)

Hasukawa: (WHAT THE HELL WAS UP WITH HIM?!)

[Kazuhiro, Hasukawa, Shun, Mitsuru and Shinobu are walking together.]

Shun: In other words, he's her childhood friend?

Mitsuru: And he says they verbally promised to get married.

Shun: Seems like true love.

Shun: Sensei, you didn't recognize him?

Kazuhiro: He didn't come to our wedding ceremony.

Kazuhiro: His father is a lawyer and it seems like he wants to be one too.

Shun: Ehh. A lawyer and an infirmary doctor, huh?

Kazuhiro: The problem is, what will he do next?

Shinobu: Will your residence be all right if he tries to break in?

Kazuhiro: He won't.

Mitsuru: You don't know that. Didn't he already develop an unexpectedly improper relationship with you?

Mitsuru laughing FX: Wa ha ha

Hasukawa getting pissed FX: Gin!

[Hasukawa glares at Mitsuru and Kazuhiro, stopping them in their tracks.]

Hasukawa: Got it, Kazuhiro?

Hasukawa: [Angry] Don't let that guy lay a single finger on Sumire-chan! Understand?

[Hasukawa storms off.]

Hasukawa: (What is he doing?)

Hasukawa: (Why isn't he angry?!)

[Later, Hasukawa is in his room, seething. Shun watches.]

Hasukawa: Dammit! We can't let that guy win!

Hasukawa: After the term ending ceremony, I'll go home right away! I'll protect Sumire-chan!

Shun: A just cause.

Hasukawa: . . .

[Hasukawa is thinking about Sumire.]

Sumire's voice: Kazuya-kun, I �

Sumire's voice: Would it be all right if I entered your household as a bride?

Hasukawa: (Why isn't Kazuhiro angry? Stupid idiot.)

[Hasukawa sees Kanda standing outside the school gate.]

Kanda: Hi. I've been waiting for you.

Hasukawa: [Coldly] Not in school clothes today?

Kanda laughing insincerely FX: Ha ha ha!

Kanda: You're going back to the dorm, right? Won't you come with me for a bit?

Hasukawa: [Suspiciously] Talk?

Tochizawa's voice: Hey!

[Hasukawa starts to run out of the restaurant.]

Kanda: A� Wait!

[Hasukawa runs face first into an outstretched arm.]

Hasukawa: ?!

[Kanda looks up in surprise.]

[Kazuhiro, arm still around Hasukawa, stares down at Kanda.

Mitsuru, Shinobu and Shun stand behind him.]

Kazuhiro: They told me what you said.

Kazuhiro: If that's the way you think, things can't go on like this.

Kazuhiro: Stop this roundabout stuff. Let's talk to Sumire.

Kazuhiro: [Smiling] Why don't you come to our house next time? At your convenience.

Kazuhiro: Sumire would be delighted. She thinks the world of you.

Kanda: Fine. I'll see for myself what kind of life Su-chan is forced to live.

Kazuhiro: [Smiling wider] I'll be waiting.

[Kanda watches Kazuhiro and the others leave.]

[Kanda realizes he's been stuck with the bill.]

Kanda: Darn poor people!

[Hasukawa is still crying. Kazuhiro walks with his arm around Hasukawa.]

Hasukawa: That's why. . . I said. . .

Hasukawa: Your job. . . and your appearance. . . they're not easy to understand. You. . . what kind of person
you are. . . other people have no idea!

[Hasukawa remembers Sumire talking with him when he was a child.]

Sumire's voice: Hmmm. Is that so. . .

Hasukawa: (That's right. I always. . .)

Sumire's voice: He's a good brother, isn't he?

Hasukawa: (. . . wanted other people to praise Hiro-nii. . .)

[Kazuhiro and Mitsuru are walking alone together.]

Mitsuru: Is it okay to have said that?

Mitsuru: Tonight he might attack, y'know.

Kazuhiro: It's fine. Kanda-kun still can't meet with Sumire.

Kazuhiro: If you ask Sumire about Kanda-kun -- He's under strict orders from his father not to come home
until he graduates.

Kazuhiro: Even when he found out that Sumire was married he still wasn't allowed to come back.

Kazuhiro: If he shows his face where Sumire is, there's a high probability his father will find out.

Kazuhiro: That's the reason why he supposedly can't come to our house.

Mitsuru: Even to challenge you.

Mitsuru: Relieved?

Kazuhiro: I think it'd be nice if he lived in America permanently.

Mitsuru: Because he made Hasukawa cry, huh? Brother complex!

Kazuhiro: Is that so bad?

Kazuhiro: My mission is "never let Kazuya cry!"

Mitsuru: Made him cry! Made him cry!

Mitsuru: [Fed up] See ya.

[Kazuhiro thinks of Hasukawa crying.]

[Later, back at Greenwood, Hasukawa is putting on his shoes.]

Okazaki: Ehh. This is unexpected. Hasukawa, you're going home?

Hasukawa: I got a call from home. It seems that guy is going to come over tonight.

Mitsuru: Really? Well, give it your best.

Shun: Tell your sister-in-law "hi" for me. [heart symbol]

Hasukawa: I'm off!

Hasukawa: (That's right. If he comes, he'll see!)

Hasukawa: (It'll be good for him to see with his own eyes whether Sumire-chan is happy or not!)

Hasukawa: (Sumire-chan is *our* Sumire-chan! We're not just going to hand her over to a guy like
him!)

[Outside shot of the Hasukawa family home.]

Hasukawa: I'm home!

[Sumire is beaming.]

Sumire: Welcome back!

[Hasukawa follows Sumire down the hall.]

Hasukawa: Umm, Sumire-chan, where's our guest?

Sumire: Hmm? He's here already. It's the first time you've met him, right?

[As they enter the living room. . .]

Sumire: Kanda-kun, Kazuya-kun is here! Yakkun, this is my cousin, Kanda-kun. You two be good friends,
'kay? [heart symbol]

[Kanda and Kazuhiro sit in uncomfortable silence at the table. Cherubs are hovering over Kanda.]

Sumire's voice: [Calling from the other room] Sit down and wait! I'll make dinner!

Hasukawa: (If he sees this, it'll be fine! He won't be able to say anything!)

Hasukawa: (How happy Sumire-chan is! And how much she and Kazuhiro

Hasukawa: (In this happy aura he'll be soaked in a sense of defeat.)

Sumire: [Remembering something] Oh, that's right!

Sumire: This is perfect! I want Kanda-kun to hear, too!

Sumire: [Happily] Well, I have some news.

[Outside shot of a coffee shop. Hasukawa and Kanda are inside.]

Kanda: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." ["Teki ga kaijuusaku ni deta" tte]

Hasukawa: ?! [sweatdrop]

Kanda: The truth is, I was wondering why you're living in a dorm. It's a very nice dorm. Not to my taste, but...

Hasukawa: So? What did you want to talk about?

Kanda: I overheard something at school.

Kanda: Su-chan was your very first love, wasn't she?

[Hasukawa is mortified.]

Hasukawa FX: DOSSAN

Kanda: So, your relationship with your brother isn't so good, is it?

Hasukawa: I don't need your help!

Kanda: So how about it? Shall we team up?
