Kakugo wa Dekite'run Darou Na
Resolution is Probably Possible/They'll Probably Be Able to Resign Themselves
(Note: this is Shinobu's line from the song "Greenwood Carnival 2" referring to Yoshiki and Fujikake.)
Written in 1996
Author: Kuji Kotone (I *think*)

|
This is a shounen-ai doujinshi or fancomic.
Summary: After some soul-searching and
embarrassment, Mitsuru and Shinobu accept their mutual attraction.
The author is obviously a big fan of the manga,
often using flashbacks and redrawing panels from the original to give a more authentic feel to this doujinshi. The art style is very similar to that of Nasu Yukie.
The author handles the story with humor and
sensitivity. The characters behave in plausible ways and while things get a bit spicy at the end it's not exploitative. |

In the furo, Shun and Hasukawa suspect
something is up. Mitsuru-sempai sure is acting weird. . . |
|
Is something wrong, Mitsuru-sempai? You're
turning red. . .
Mitsuru flees.
Shun wonders if Mitsuru-sempai could have a
crush on Shinobu-sempai. Hasukawa is horrified. Shinobu laughs at the idea. |
|
After some time in denial, Mitsuru starts to blurt
out his feelings to Shinobu, only to be rather coldly rebuffed before he can utter the words.
Mitsuru: I . . . I'm serious . . . I really lo-
(Ore wa . . . Ore wa honki de omae no koto ga. . .)
Shinobu: I'm telling you it's stupid to go that far.

Mitsuru goes to get a drink and calm down.

Some days later, Shinobu is out on a lunch date
with the daughter of one of his father's friends. Mitsuru lies in bed listening to the rain. |
|
While listening to his date chatter on about talking to
their parents about their feelings for each other (making a marriage pitch at her age?) Shinobu realizes the only one he really cares about is Mitsuru. |
|
Shinobu walks back to the dorm in the rain. . .
|
|
. . . to tell him so.
