Frankly, I'm not sure why you'd be interested in these guys. They show
up for one or two episodes of the manga each and don't have much overall impact on the story. This page is basically one big spoiler for several of the less important side stories, but may be useful to fanfic writers. (*Hopeful look*) |

Aki Yurie and Ririko
Episode: The Tragedy of S / Cameos in
the Devilwood Continuation
Two girls who stalk Mitsuru. Heard it
before, you say? Nope. These girls are lesbians. Ririko falls in love with Mitsuru while he's in drag, and starts following him around secretly. Aki-san shows up to challenge him for Ririko's affections. (She's not half bad at fighting, either!) In the end, Ririko dumps Aki-san, but Aki gets over it by dating Shun. "He makes me want to be -- normal," she says as she hauls him away. . .
Note: "S" stands for many things in
Japanese slang, but in this case, it stands for "Sister" which means a close female- female relationship which may extend into the realm of lesbianism. |

Enchou-sensei
Episode: GW
An older teacher, who is himself an Old Boy
(or Alumnus) of Ryokuto Academy. |
|
Fuse-kun
Episode: Noblesse Oblige / Demon in Here is
Devilwood
An underclassman who is initially sent to spy
on Shinobu, but who is so impressed by Shinobu's skill and poise that he becomes his disciple instead! Resembles a mini-Mitsuru. (Would that make him "Mini-Mi"?) |
|
Ice Princesses: Nakagawa Suzuki and Aida
Episode: The Ice Witches
Twin ice skaters, and daughters of the rink owner.
Attempt to convince Mitsuru and Shinobu to be their figure skating partners by drugging them. Succeed in slipping Mitsuru a Mickey in his tea, but the others rescue him. Suzuki and Aida eventually become each others' partners. |
|
Marua (A)
Episode: Everyone, It's Due to Love, Right? /
Barmaid in Devilwood
A girl who's had a crush on Hasukawa ever since
middle school. She makes chocolates for him on Valentine's Day, but gives up after seeing his "cute girlfriend" (Shun, who is delivering chocolates from Sumire-chan to Hasukawa). Sadly, Hasukawa has no recollection of who she is. |
|
Marui (I)
Episode: Poolside Boyfriend / Bandit in the
Devilwood Continuation
The lifeguard at the public pool. Mistakes
Shun for a cute girl. Takes an instant disliking
to Mitsuru, whom he sees as a rival for Shun's
affections. Marui faces a tough choice when he
has to decide between protecting his crush from being "molested" by
Mitsuru or rescuing a drowning child. Luckily, he makes the right decision. |
|
Megumi
Episode: Holiday
A little girl who has the distinction of being the
only person to successfully wrest food from Mitsuru's grasp. Often left alone by her Pachinko- playing mother. Mitsuru and Shinobu rescue Megumi from a kidnapper. The pic of them all together on a park bench is adorable. Here she is devouring Mitsuru's curry bread. |
|
Nightmare
Episode: Nightmare
A dream girl who looks like Shun in a fairy
dress and Mickey Mouse ears. Causes Tochizawa to seriously doubt his sexual orientation. For some reason, there's a dream- eating cat that she's afraid of, but Mitsuru and Shinobu banish it. |
|
Ootani Yuki
Episode: Look for the Prince!
Nitta Mieko's second manager. Less interested in
Mieko's career than in marrying well. Has her eye on the Tezuka fortune and hits on Shinobu until she finds out that he has an older brother, at which point she starts chasing Akira. Thoroughly stymied by Rokujou Noriko, though. |
|
Seishin Kyomi
Episode: A Maiden's Dreaming
One of Mitsuru's fangirls, she follows him around
and bursts into tears whenever he does something she doesn't approve of -- for example, ordering a beef-bowl. (It's just not elegant and ruins his image!) Kyomi's even more annoying than Misako, IMO. She eventually becomes a doujinshi writer.
"My name's Seishin Kyomi. I'm sixteen, a Pisces
with a blood type of O, and my fate star is Fire." |
|
Shinji
Episode: Dangerous Stove League
One of Mitsuru's friends from his middle school
days. They have a baseball rivalry going. Shinji starts a sandlot team called the Sixteens, and challenges Mitsuru to a game for old times' sake. |
|
Track Coach
A scary, cadaverous man who went to school with
Kazuhiro and who holds a grudge against him. Wants to train Hasukawa for the Summer Olympics and just about runs him into the ground. Goes by the name Murakami Shirou but may actually be named Urashima Tarou. Kazuhiro calls him "Shinigami Hakase" which means "Professor Death God." |
|
Yoshitake
Episode: Go For It, Hasukawa! The Ping-Pong
Challenge!!
Hasukawa's shorter classmate. He challenges
Hasukawa to a grudge match. Little does Kazuya know that Yoshitake is a ringer. Yoshitake is marginally worse at cross-dressing than Hasukawa. |

Random Ghost Girls: E, Ka, O and U
Episode: The Girls of Summer
Four ghost girls who happen to be haunting one
of the Kisaragi resorts. They look cute on the outside, but are rather evil. Mitsuru wakes up to find U kneeling on his chest, but wards her off with Buddhist chants. Ka tries to kill Hasukawa, but someone special saves him. |
